Storage
Caduceus stores metaverse and multimedia files in Distributed Hash Table (DHT) based storage that is uniquely configured to work with hypercube nodes with great efficiency. Unlike other blockchain protocols, Caduceus is unique in that it amalgamates transactions, consensus and storage within a larger solution.
Caduceus storage works at the application layer module level. It does not require proof of work protocol to commit items to storage, which increases overall efficiency of storage. Therefore, Caduceus is different from PoC consensus projects, such as FileCoin. This is because the underlying consensus of Caduceus is the Metaverse Graph (an asynchronous consensus algorithm that separates transaction and execution and is based on a Hyper-Cube DAG structure), which will provide Caduceus with ultra-high TPS performance and near real-time transaction confirmation speed.
Caduceus Storage serves three important functions:
Caduceus Storage stores blockchain DAG-Hypercube structures to enable efficient read and write of transaction data directly on chain.
Metaverse applications such as edge rendering require heavy multimedia content that must be stored and accessed quickly. Edge-rendering system has a large number of 3D resources, videos, and NFT assets are examples of metaverse items that can be stored under Caduceus metaverse protocol storage.
Caduceus d'Apps have contract code and bytecode conviniently stored on Caduceus Storage. This gives them a direct access point into transactional data and any relevant metaverse data storage within the ecosystem. Files are encrypted, split into fragments, and persisted on Caduceus' global network of nodes, eliminating data breaches and downtime that may occur on other competing networks.
Caduceus Metaverse Protocol supports the storage of large files such as videos, audio, pictures in the blockchain network.
